The one armed bandits are in plentiful supply (almost too many), but we spent almost all of our time at Blackjack (all are multideck continuous shuffle, unless you go to the high roller room.that’s where the only double deck is located). This is why you came, right? We spent almost 3 hours here. Outdoor walking paths along the reservoir, well placed restaurants with views, and actual sand beaches are just a few of the facility highlights. Upon walking in, you notice that the facilities and facades are beautiful, well maintained, and clean. The resort/casino is located immediately off of I-68, but tucked away enough in the valley and along the reservoir to be secluded.
Upon arriving at Rocky Gap, we did not regret the decision. Given the choice of going to MGM Grand in DC or Rocky Gap, we opted for the slightly longer (but much more beautiful) drive out west. We took a spur-of-the-moment trip to western Maryland to partake in some gambling, sightseeing, and time together as a couple.
